I live in batchelor heights neighborhood right next to the new road construction near the new library. The trucks have started working on the road before 6am. The noise is pretty loud and it’s been waking our kids and us up. It’s so loud that not even sound machines will cover the noise. I understand stating work early is convenient for the city but everyone in the neighborhood has been complaining on how early construction starts and it’s VERY loud! I am very disappointed in the lack of planning and consideration for the residents of the neighboring community.

Just curious if there was any discussion with city staff about the air quality being hazardous? I would like to recommend if possible to have restaurants restrict outside seating until air quality is better. Just like with the Covid-19 pandemic where the government shut down businesses, I believe the city should restrict where possible outdoor seating is available for the safety of public. I am a concerned citizen - the Kilroys Sports Bar was out of control Saturday night with drinks being served well into the early hours (5:00 AM).
