There is a gold-colored Chrysler Town & Country mini van (Indiana license plate #VAL694) parked in front of the home at 322 E. 1st St. that is legally abandoned under 15.04.020: "A vehicle left on public property continuously without being moved for three days". https://library.municode.com/in/bloomington/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=TIT15VETR_CH15.04DE_15.04.020ABVE This is at least the third time that this vehicle has been abandoned in the exact same spot along East First Street in the past month.

Please clarify the new parking regulations. Can I park in the surface lots for free on Saturday and Sunday? i.e. 4th and Lincoln. The library website says that these lots are 24/7 and the city website indicates they are free after 5 pm on weekdays and free on the weekend. Which is correct?

There’s city employees (with hangtags in their mirrors) parking on a yellow curb in front of the boys and girls club almost every day. They block the view of kids and parents crossing the street.

Earlier this year I reported a vehicle parking on the pedestrian/cycling path connecting West Countryside Ln. to the Country View Apts. I observed a vehicle again blocking the path this Saturday, 17 November 2018 at approximately 2:30pm (uReport Case #163304). I have seen this particular vehicle parked on the path a number of times since the house was built adjacent to the path. Considering your suggestion from the previous incident, I have attached a photo of the offending vehicle. From the license plate, the operator appears to be connected with law enforcement (license plate LE8928). I find this very disturbing that an individual who should be setting an example for the community is using a pedestrian path for convenience. I would like to point out that I occasionally ride my bicycle on this path and have observed pedestrians on it as well. Also, there is plenty of street parking in this part of the neighborhood in front of the houses, i.e., I don't see lack of available parking as an excuse. There is a rusty copper colored old pickup truck license plate 551637 as well as an old maroon four door sedan license plate 74ORZ that have both been street parked on the southern half of S Washington between 2nd and 1st streets. Neither one has moved since the start of the school year when I moved in here and it seems like neither has moved in ages. If at all possible I wouldn't like to be connected to this tip because I know one of them belongs to my neighbor and I don't want him getting mad at me. Thanks!
