Please include a map at the City's site for the rail trail like the one for the Clear Cteek trail. I don't need an app, just across map. Thanks!
Last summer I contacted the city (Ureport case 192429) regarding city trees in my front yard (tulip poplar) that were infected by a "tulip tree scale" insect. I live in Tamarron and there are a number of other tulip poplar trees infected by the same bug. Haskell Smith said to contact him this spring to let him know and the city will treat the trees to keep them from dying. I do not want to loose these trees because they were finally growing and thriving. Thank you so much. Feel free to contact me 812-360-3096
Our property has a large locust tree that has lost several large branches in what we believe is the city right of way. One branch blocked the roadway until we were able to clear with our equipment. It has several additional large dead branches and the entire tree has a significant lean to the street and neighboring properties. It’s located just before our driveway which is actually on Pine Lane. Thank you.
While l love the permeable pavers at Hopewell Commons, I feel they create an unsafe environment. The pavers cross Morton, making that area appear to be an extension of the park. It doesn't look like a road, so I fear park users, especially children, won't look for cars. I think warning signs or additional stop signs could increase safety
It appears that the City's 2025 pool waiver eligibility policy has changed. In past years, waiver eligibility has been based solely on qualifying household income. Now, additional criteria has been added to also require a minor living in the household. Please consider returning to the sole criteria based on household income. It would be much more equitable to allow low-income adults to have access to city pools as well, even if they do not have children. Especially at a time with deep cuts to many federal resources for low-income people, local supports are more important than ever.
Lots of smokers at the park and splash pad. No signs saying no smoking. No signs saying smoking in parks is illegal.
The lower branches of the city oak tree in front of the property need to be trimmed. They extend into the street and obstruct vehicles.
The entire length of the Clear Creek Trail from Tapp Road to Church Lane needs serious tree trimming work. The number of branches obstructing the path is quite high all throughout the trail. It's dangerous as people dodge branches.
The sidewalk on the northside of the Southeast Park tennis courts (along Moores Pike) is full of mud and debris, and unusable at times. There is also a stack of tree limbs that need cleared in that area.
