Our property has a large locust tree that has lost several large branches in what we believe is the city right of way. One branch blocked the roadway until we were able to clear with our equipment. It has several additional large dead branches and the entire tree has a significant lean to the street and neighboring properties. It’s located just before our driveway which is actually on Pine Lane. Thank you.

I would like to request that the "volunteer" workers that are cutting new trails into a state-designated nature preserve across from my home be stopped immediately. The state designates "nature preserve" land to be preserved for natural ecological functions. It's the highest protection the state can place on natural land. These "volunteers" are cutting new trails which increases the spread of invasive species. The ecological integrity of these precious few acres is already compromised by the proximity to homes and these new and poorly designed trails are adding to the stress and degradation of this natural space. They are using lawn mowers and power tools which disrupt nesting bird habitats. They cut one Asian Honeysuckle allowing several more to take its place. Trash bags with refuse are left for weeks by these volunteers. I understand that the intentions are to remove invasives but what is actually occurring does nothing but spread the same invasives. It is a misguided effort and needs to cease immediately. I have a Master's degree in Park and Public Land Management from IU and have seen this happen numerous times in other locations. In this case it seems that a small group of volunteers desired a walking trail next to their neighborhood and began "volunteering" to create these trails. While not a big deal on private land, these particular lands are designated by the state for the highest protection possible. I would be more than happy to discuss this further and suggest some alternative activities for this group of volunteers. You have my email and I hope we can come to a resolution that will stop the infringement of these state-protected lands. Thank you for your time.

Bicycle parking is never good for the Saturday Farmer's Market, but today it was exceptionally problematic. When I first arrived I was able to lock my trike but when I had trouble accessing my lock and when I did get to it two helpful young men assisted by lifting my trike to free it from the pile. I am 75 years old. This was hard. My trike is ADA compliant but it is not compact. I don't take it into the market, but my walking ability is limited so don't tell me about the bike racks that are blocks away from the market. Please do better with bike parking convenient to the market

Hello, I was passing by the Fields Apartment complex, all around Clarizz, Fenbrooke, I need to check the exact streets. All of their trees lining the sidewalk and street are improperly mulched with root suffocating “mulch volcanoes.” I’ll pass by there again today or tomorrow and send exact street names and photos. I saw this Walking with Ease sign at Bryan Park. For people with arthritis or poor balance or impaired vision / hearing or other such issues would walk around the asphalt paths with greater ease and sense of safety if some "Cyclists Yield to Pedestrians" signs were posted. This is especially true of the path through the middle of the park, which connects cyclists between the Allen Street Bicycle Boulevard and the Southdowns bike-ped lanes. I would suggest a sign at each end of that path, on the the Henderson and Woodlawn sides. I walk there frequently with my dog and friends. Cyclists approach from in front and behind. We pedestrians usually make room and sometimes the cyclists do. Sometimes they let us know when they come up from behind, but not always. Some signage could end the confusions over right-of-way. Keep in mind that the mid-path curves. That is pleasant and would be safer if cyclists slowed down and anticipated other users. Defensivei cycling, the cycling version of defensive driving. Thanks!

Is there a way the city can trim the trees on the street where I live? Not sure which are city responsibility or owner but limbs are hanging very low and are hitting vehicles. A moving truck recently hit a bunch of limbs and knocked lots of debris on the street. This would be along all of Autumn Drive in The Stands area. Thanks.

When pulling left out of east burks drive visibility is obscured significantly by trees and other foliage compared to the right side. Because of this and people commonly driving over the speed limit can lead to potential accidents. If possible could a city department trim the road side plants to increase visibility.

Trees on the street side of the sidewalk on this property (especially, but not only, the one near the driveway) appear to be in poor health or dead. Branches fall with nearly every moderate storm that comes through.
