The intersection of Pete Ellis and 10th St is incredibly dangerous for pedestrians. There are no crosswalks or pedestrian signals. Those living in Fountain Park Apartments must cross the street to access the bus stop and have no safe way of doing so.
It is great to see that Public Works is currently installing ADA-compliant ramps between E 2nd Street and High Street. Is it also part of ADA compliance to complete the missing sidewalk to the west of 2000 E 2nd St?
Will the improvements to E 2nd Street include installing sidewalk to fill the gap between 1935 E 2nd and 2000 E 2nd Street? This gap is a barrier to accessibility for pedestrians on this street.
We live in Renwick neighborhood. A house was built on 2435 Cathcart St. The sidewalk needs connected or installed from 2435 Cathcart St. to 2425 Cathcart St. There is a green space between the two homes and the sidewalk needs to be completed for safety reasons. When walking on the sidewalk, it ends and you have to go out in the street. The sidewalk needs to be installed so it continues.
There needs to be a safe pedestrian crossing over Smith at this intersection
On the east side of S. Walnut Pike north of Rhorer Rd there is no sidewalk between the newly installed county walk (as part of the intersection improvement) and the Peppergrass development. The bank along the road in the area is steep requiring one to walk in the street where the visibility is not great.
Anyone wishing to walk the full length of Smith is forced to cross the road at least once, more depending on starting location. The road is fast (despite the speed limit), with no pedestrian crossings, and several blind summits
The section of sidewalk along W 6th St in front of Fairview Methodist Church on the north side between Jackson and Fairview streets is in really bad shape. Most of the sidewalks in this area were recently replaced or shaved but this section really needs to be replaced. A person I was walking with recently tripped there and lost a lot of skin off of hands/knees/chin so this section really is dangerous, especially since most of the sidewalks around there are new so you aren't expecting it on this highly traveled section. Needs more salt, slipped and fell this morning
Request sidewalk to be installed on north side of E 13th Street. Many pedestrians walk in the road on this busy stretch of two-way traffic.
