Homeless sleeping on bench.
Homeless sleeping on bench.
There is a City bench that is secured to the concrete, and someone has put their belongings underneath it, put a blue tarp over it, and tied it down. It has been there for two weeks now, and it is across from Chocolate Moose on the corner of Smith and Walnut.
There are steel cables attached to limestone blocks at this location, intended to prevent unauthorized parking. However, these cables are not clearly visible at night or at dusk. Unfortunately, a family member fell over one of the cables yesterday evening and sustained a head injury requiring medical treatment. Given the lack of visibility and the safety risk these cables pose, I respectfully request that steps be taken to either improve their visibility or implement a safer alternative to prevent further incidents.
The light on pole 275858 is out?
I recently became a member of the city's Twin Lakes Recreational facility. I appreciate the fact that there is a paved path along 2nd street to bike/walk to Twin Lakes. But there is not a single street light along the path from Landmark. The parking at Twin Lakes in inadequate when youth events take place in the evenings, so it would be great if the path was lit/safer to use. Thank You.
somehow trash has been droped along sare road, going south before round abot, and going on south to jackson creek middle school. and onto rohr rd, paper, some garbage, different items.
To whom it may concern, I am inquiring as to where one finds the election dates and candidate filing dates for the next mayoral election in Bloomington. I appreciate your time and help. Thank you
Hello, I am a part of the Adapted Sports Program out of Indiana University. We are wanting to put on a fully inclusive 5K race around the second or third week of April. The plan is to do it along the B-Line trail through town. We are still working on details of the event however we are wanting to get more information as far as what we would need regarding permits from the city. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any further questions! Best, Bryant Mehay
Good day, One of our insured's employees slipped and fell in the parking lot of the Liberty Crossing shopping complex on January 24, 2018. The address is possibly 2088 Liberty Drive (our insured's employee was a visitor to the city and is not familiar with the area). We are having difficulty identifying the owner of this property. We would appreciate any assistance you are able to provide in regards to contact information for the property owner. We look forward to your reply. Please refer to our claim number 1340054 on all communication. Sincerely, Michele Gryskiewicz Subrogation Recovery Specialist Church Mutual Insurance
Hello, My name is Kendall Burch and I am a student at Indiana University. I live at 1309 N Washington Street Bloomington, IN 47408 in a duplex. The duplex was built this past summer and sits at the end of a dead end, where there is currently no light. Next to our house is several bushes with a trail leading to a parking lot for an apartment complex across the street. My roommates and I have encountered more than one incident where we have seen individuals hiding in the trail at night because it is so dark. The latest incident happened this past weekend, but by the time the Bloomington Police Department arrived the man fled on foot. As citizens of Bloomington we feel we are in danger, providing a street light would make the area safer for everyone. Please let me know if this is an option as soon as possible Respectfully, Kendall Burch
