This stormwater conduit that drains the Cascades neighborhood is compromised - tall weeds grow every season in several areas where the cement has crumbled away over the years. I have reported this before and requested a repair, however the response was to patch a few of the larger missing areas with asphalt. This is not a sufficient conduit to manage the volume of stormwater that flows from uphill. Especially since this is a very uneven surface, stormwater is not adequately managed at this point.

My neighbor John East told me that city surveyors were planning a project to renovate this storm drain system that flows from his yard in an open stream - through my yard which was tiled over at some point (I believe the city did this but cannot confirm). This system flows then into Cascades Park. There are a significant number of sunken areas along the path of this conduit in my yard - which has concerned me regarding the integrity of this pathway. I have had MUCH trouble with hydrostatic pressure along my basement foundation, and have not found a cause for this to date. Additionally, when the rain is hard enough, this system will back up into John's yard and the water will breach Skyline Dr. and flood my yard as well. I am looking for information about any plan for a project so that I can respond in time by moving perennials and manage expectations regarding disruption at the house from possible excavation and construction. Third year in a row (2/8/2018 # 163027, 2/8/2019 #167355), when the fatberg grows just downstream from me, the city delivers hundreds of gallons of sewage into my basement. This year was a new high water: 6-7 inches. It is sewer, not my house backing up... It is because of a flaw in the connections just downstream from me. The city has closed the previous reports as "Resolved" without my consent. This is obviously not resolved. I'd much rather have Bloomington spend money on fixing this, rather than attorney fees, but without quick resolution, this year, I will proceed.

Grey water drainage from this address is draining onto my property at 2408 S Shadow Grove Ct. The homeowner had painted the white PVC plumbing pipe brown so that it blends in with the ground and then added a storm grate over it.
