In December 2017 our water supply line to the house from the street was replaced. About two weeks ago, we started noticing black material coming out of the tap that supplies our bathtub. Then our kitchen sink water pressure started to decline; I opened up the faucet nozzle and found similar particles. The problem with the tub water has persisted now for some weeks and I'm concerned for our health.
On the street, across from the house at 1490 E. Southdowns and close to the intersecting street of Eagelson, there is a visible and continuous stream of water that appears to be originating beneath the blacktop surface of the street. I first noticed it on a walk at about 4:30 pm today(12-10-23). When I returned home after 20 minutes, the water stream was still at the same level/amount as I initially observed. The water is draining directly into a storm sewer. I’m wondering if there is a water main break?
Can the loose sand and gravel be swept up at the intersection of Fenbrook Lane and East Moores Pike? For westbound bicyclists on Moores Pike who are turning north onto Fenbrook, the sand and gravel presents a hazardous situation. Cyclists are approaching at speed since there is a downhill, they want to make a smooth, wide turning radius, but the sand and gravel presents an potentially dangerous obstacle while turning. The drainage between 1406 and 1404 S. Nancy is extremely backed up with debris
Sidewalks, drainage grates and side-paths are covered in leaves, twigs, tree debris, limbs, rocks. Some drainage grates are almost completely blocked with debris. This problem is from the roundabout West to the fly-over to Vernal Pike.
our water has been very cloudy for over a week now
The asphalt on South Clark was recently repaired (I assume because of a recent water main break), and the new asphalt has sunk in somewhat. It's not clear that it's safe. This is on the street at the end of a driveway between 126 and 128 South Clark Street.
Washout/sinkhole beneath road surface next to storm drain.
While this area is under construction, I wonder if you could fix the drainage on northwest corner of the intersection of 6th and Adams. The storm drain sits slightly above the pavement on one corner. The intersection itself may also be below grade. The intersection collects an inch or two of water when it rains.
