Drainage or Runoff

Circle Dr & E Southdowns Dr, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA

Case Date:
1/9/2023

I have noticed water pooling around the fire hydrant located on Circle Drive and Southdowns for over a week. It doesn’t appear to be water draining from far away, but just around the fire hydrant.

Sewer Problems (Storm Sewers)

Case Date:
1/19/2023

During the rain event on Wednesday evening (Jan 18), I notice significant water standing at the NE corner of 3rd and College. Several cars, including mine, moved into the center lane (west bound) on 3rd, to ensure that the rising water would not come into contact with the car. Can the drain at that NE corner/intersection be checked/cleared? This is the second time I have experienced this at that intersection, this year.

hello, i live in South crest estates Bloomington IN, for weeks now there has either been NO water, barely any pressure, or just drips coming out. My children have been in the middle of showers, and it turns off bc there is NO PRESSURE it is NOT okay anymore, it is flu season, people are sick, people need to shower, PEOPLE NEED WATER. Like i said i and multiple others have tried to talk to management but they say they can’t do anything. This is a health hazard and it needs to be solved, i have kids that are sick and puking and we can not even flush the puke down. it will only allow me to include (1) photo so here is that. Please get back to me ASAP because this is not okay, thank you.!

Hello. There is a dual drainage grate system in the middle of Blair Ave just before W 12th Court heading North. It looks as if the grates are sinking and are going to fall into the hole under them. There is major damage and erosion of the structural integrity of the cement and asphalt surrounding the grates and across the entire street. There is exposed metal bars that drivers swerve to miss to protect their cars putting humans and parked vehicles at risk. Can you please help? Thank you for all that you do!

We had a sewer blockage today. The plumber sent a camera through the sewer pipe and discovered that the fiber optic crew had pierced our sewer line, causing the back up.

A few minutes ago, a white dump truck without City emblems stopped in front of my house. Two men got out and shoveled the leaves from the drain in front of my house and across the street into the drains. I thought we weren’t supposed to put leaves in the drain. The drain in front of my house is my adopt-a-drain, so it didn't have many leaves but the one across the street had more.

I don't have a current photo but particularly since the utility work completed on this stretch of road the parking spots in front of the shops flood and hold water. The gradient actually seems to slope away from the drain instead of towards. As a result, we frequently have to bail out the parking spots to make them usable for customers. Flooding issues include the accessible parking spot, which poses a risk to the mobility impaired. How can we best collaborate on a solution? Thanks!

Drainage or Runoff

Case Date:
4/13/2024

Since the street was repaved our garage has flooded 3 times in the past year due to runoff coming d9wn our driveway and over our yard. We tried to dig a relief ditch but this is more difficult and the flooding is due to the fill in of the original ditch in the easement and the fact that the culvert under the driveway is now clogged with roots and dirt. I need the ditch dug properly. Also, your department fixed a brok3n main last winter and did not fill in the hole left by the repair.
