Ms. Sheldon called to complain about water problem in her basement. 3 weeks. ago (approx. 1/23/99) CBU was called because of water backup in their basement. Tom Staley came out after the water receded. She was very upset because Tom Staley was very rude and even got up in her face and talked very loudly. A plumber was called. He found that there was a backup in the sewer line and called the City. Now they have 12" of raw sewage in their basement and cannot live at home.
WANTS WATER TURNED ON AFTER HOURS, OFFICE IS CLOSED
WATER LEAK
WATER COMING UP AROUND FIRE HYDRANT.
THERE ARE DEEP DITCHES ON EITHER SIDE OF MORNINGSIDE. WHEN IT RAINS, ESPECIALLY A HEAVY RAIN, THESE DITCHES FILL UP. THE WATER TENDS TO POOL AT THE INTERSECTION WITH LEXINGTON. THE WATER SETS AND BECOMES STAGNANT AND ATTRACTS MOSQUITOES
Complaint was relayed by David Hamilton. Problem with drainage ditch and drain going under Concord. Apparently it is not handling the water the way that it should and is eroding Mr. Burton's yard.
Mr. Plecher complained that his water has a very bad taste/smell. Utilities chemist at Dillman explained city ran out of carbon to treat water & algea taste comes through. This seems to happen 3 or 4 times a year. couldn't city purchase more carbon more often so this won't happen again?
