I believe this is the same caller as Case #155238. Reported homeless men still living under the shelter house at Building and Trades park. One man started to approach the caller at 11a today as soon as the City parks worker left, but then walked away when a driver pulled up to the park. Caller is very frustrated that she can't eat lunch at a city park without feeling scared or accosted. She's requesting extra police patrols at this location.
Resident of The Stands reports that the stop sign exiting her cul-de-sac has faded so much that STOP is barely readable. As well, the streetlight in the cul-de-sac has begun to flicker, and when it's off the area is very dark.
"For the past 3 weeks the tenants across the street, at 509 S Highland Ave, have left their trash sitting out on the curb. I have made numerous complaints with HAND (Maria is assigned to the case.) There is clear evidence at this point that the tenants are not planning to remedy the issue even with the several tickets they have received. I have attached several photos of the trash. There is clear evidence of animal activity, it has become a public health issue, and as a property owner I am concerned about my property value as well as the prestige of the Elm Heights neighborhood"
