We have lived here for nearly 40 years and the creek water has never looked this bad. Yes, after a heavy rain, it is cloudy, but it hasn't rained for over a week. The water looks very dirty and there is a bad smell, as well. Not sure if this is the department to inform. If not please pass this along. Children play in the creek and there seems to be some type of runoff or other issue that is making the water look bad. Thanks

Report Case #159586 This has been an ongoing issue. The creek, once again, is very cloudy and dirty. It was clear yesterday (2/1/19) and is like this today.

167265 was a previous case of the same problem. It was closed by Kelsey Thetonia. I report that the creek is intermittently very dirty and muddy looking. It was very clear yesterday and now it is very dirty, like previous pictures I have sent. Since it was clear yesterday and hasn't rained since Saturday, it seems like it is more than simple runoff. Construction workers from the path project here along Montclair near Southeast Park entrance left lots of debris behind along the sidewalk. They're long gone and didn't attempt to clean any of this up.

I am a storm drain volunteer for the Utility Department for Sussex Drive and Queensway from High St to Montclair and have been tracking broken asphalt pavement that might enter or block the storm drains and storm sewers by collecting broken pavement. I have collected a second load of broken pavement that is on the east/mail box side of my driveway at 2305 Sussex Dr. The pile weighs about 134 ponds could a City Street crew pick up the pile for recycling and reuse?

I have been collecting broken asphalt pavement from Sussex Dr, and from High St to Montclair along Queensway as an experiment for the Utility Department on reducing storm drain blockage on streets with significant slopes. I weighed the amount of debris collected since the start of the freeze-thaw cycle and the new pile is just short of 310 pounds on the east side of my driveway. Could this debris be picked up by a city crew for recycling?
