My husband and I are present members of the YMCA, and go this facility often. We are concerned about the lack of cleanliness of the locker room, bathrooms and the drinking fountains. This is a health risk to our community, with the potential for diseases. Also, the drinking fountain in the track area is warm, plus never cleaned. Another example is in the shower. I have seen something left accidently like a shampoo bottle, and I will see it there for weeks at a time. The shower smells of urine, and it is NOT clean. Again, we are very concerned about possible diseases. The health department needs to do an inspection. My husband and I have complained to the YMCA multiple times, but nothing has changed. Thank you for any help you can provide to make the YMCA safer for our community. Thank you, Concerned Registered Nurse

This picture was taken on 10/10 at 12:24 AM at the corner of Kirkwood/Dunn. The truck is called, "Smoked," and I do not see them as a registered truck on the list. I talked, "Ken," who said he and his wife own the truck and showed me a valid handicapped permit. I didn't get Ken's contact info or license plate.
Fire Hazards

Response to 189024 -- If the fires are happening daily at the homeless camp along the Rail Trail, and the fire department (MFPD) has been out twice this month, yet the fires continue, why would there not be an option to take some level of preventative enforcement action as opposed to reactive only that is not solving the underlying issue? This would be a daily call to 911 if people in the area called every time there was a large, illegal fire. Is that the best use of resources, as opposed to the City cleaning the area up, removing those illegally burning on City property, and preventing any future fires from being started by those illegally camping on the property? The City refuses to address the problem, the county has to roll a truck out here due to the City's inaction, and the adjacent property owners suffer. All to protect illegal activity!

Citizen called about tree across the street from her residence. Tree is enormous by her standards and a potential hazard for a single family rental adjacent to tree. By her summation the tree is a "when it falls" as opposed to an "if it falls."
Can we, should we do anything?

Years of neighbors and past residents call for help have garnered no response from the city.
Drainage or Runoff

The new builders on the corner of Covenanter Drive and High Street installed a pipe last week. Our concern is that the pipe was not installed low enough to keep the flow of water continuing to High street and beyond. With the rainy season coming...we are concerned that the pipe will make water back up on our property. The city just spent two weeks closing off High street to fix this issue and now we are concerned that the new builders have just put something in (but not properly installed it) so they could have a little rock culvert to get to their property off of Covenanter Drive. I sent an email to Vic Kelson and Brandon Prince on Thursday, but never heard back from them. I am writing again because we would like this matter to be taken care of now before they get more involved with building and it is too late to fix the problem. I would appreciate if somebody would get back with me on this matter. Thank you.
