I removed two tree limbs that apparently fel off a truck and were blocking traffic on Southdowns. I placed them next to the street in my yard. I would like them removed. Thank you. Location is near the intersection of Southdowns and Circle Drive.
Utility drain at the intersection of East Southdowns Drive and South Woodlawn (across the street from the Woodlawn Shelter) requires someone to remove all the leaves and stuff from the drawing screen. Every time the drain is cleaned, the leaves and stuff are never removed, only raked away. Please remove all the debris so it does not clog the drain again. Thank you.
A 2-3 weeks ago the street signs mounted on top of the stop sign at E Southdowns Dr and S High St were hanging at a 90 degree angle. They are gone now.
There is a weeping willow at the corner of E Southdowns Dr and S Hawthorne that took a hit during this afternoons storm. We have cleaned most of it up and stacked it nearby for pickup. The problem is, there is still a very large, broken limb hanging dangerously above the walkway that we could not reach. For this branch to be removed, will require a lift and bucket to reach. Thank you. MPW
There is a sink hole in my front yard adjacent to the street, where someone may park. I have contacted the street department and the utilities department and have received no word on a resolution. They just put a pilot over it. I have added some reflective sticks to the hole so it is very visible to walkers and children. However, I continue to feel that this is a dangerous situation. A car wheel could get caught in this, and if someone’s foot got caught in it, it could cause serious injury. Please address or let me know what the plan is. Thank you.
The street has a number of potholes and areas where the pavement has chipped/chucked or generally needs maintenance. At the least, the lines that separate cars from bikes and pedestrians is in need of repainting. Thanks!
At this and other intersections along the bypass, there is not sufficient signage for cyclists and pedestrians using the sidepath. The "walk" sign only turns on when you press the button, instead of automatically turning on with the green light. And because of the insufficient signage, drivers seem unaware that there is a side path, and frequently block bike/pedestrian traffic and make dangerous turns into people entering the crosswalks.
The side path along the bypass is blocked by 2 traffic signs that take up the entire path.
Since opening 10th Street after the construction I have seen two people drive into the on coming traffic lane because of lack of marking and a cluttered area due to construction still in progress. The most resent one I just witnessed almost caused an accident. With the addition of the median on 10th Street and the view on the Bypass being blocked by construction barrels this needs to be more clearly marked or someone could get hurt due to lack of signage or direction.
