Where did all the shade go? Happy Summer Solstice! We thought Townies needed more sun in their lives so we removed all the shade sails at all the parks and ball fields. Thanks for looking out for us parks!

City Performance

Case Date:
6/24/2022

Just wondering if there is actually an Erin Hatch that works for the city?? I noticed including my ureports that were assigned to her way over a month ago about city tree trimming has not been addressed. So I'm not sure if she doesn't work for the city and it's not being assigned to no one. Or someone isn't really doing their job. Thanks for your time.

Excessive Growth

Case Date:
6/24/2022

This is the second complaint I have submitted. The other was about a month ago. There is very high weed growth along the ditch on Davis St. between Grant and Lincoln. This is city property. It is unsightly and needs mowing soon. Thank you.

Violation of the law at Bryan Park Pool

Parks & Playgrounds

Case Date:
6/24/2022

Today, 6/24/2022, I was at the Bryan Park Pool with my baby and a group of mom friends who also have babies. Another mom and I were approached by one of the male lifeguards (named Will) who told us to stop breastfeeding our babies in the children's wading pool area and to do so in the bathroom instead. We quickly responded that we have a legal right to breastfeed wherever we are located and he insisted by asking us to leave the area. This is illegal and violates the following law: Indiana Code 16-35-6-1, a link to which is included here and states the following: "Notwithstanding any other law, a woman may breastfeed her child anywhere the woman has the right to be."
