We are having problems with scooters driving on the sidewalk, we would like this parking area removed, it takes valuable space for store sandwich signs (businesses are already struggling) and encourages sidewalk use of scooters. Thank you,
Once again, the section of West 11th st between Adams St and Fountain Dr has become a speedway. Drivers CD are absolutely flying down the road. Captain Pedigo, I know you are stretched thin when it comes to number of officers, but could you do your best to set up radar sometime on this section of road? Our neighborhood would truly appreciate it.
On east side of b line between Kirkwood and 6th Street. Chicken waddle hangs down into head space about 4 ft from edge of path. This is a relatively congested part of the b line and it is often necessary to detour off the path here to get around a stationary group. i have had close calls with this chicken waddle, and other people have actually hit it with their heads while biking. Now that dave williams is gone could we get a little consideration for safety?
I am currently attending the virtual City of Bloomington Board of Park Commissioners meeting via Zoom. I am disappointed by the city’s negligence to make this meeting more accessible for those with hearing barriers. Why don’t ALL virtual city meetings have closed captions and/or live signing?
2 people in my apartment complex are smoking inside their apartments. It’s coming in through my walls and vents so badly that I’m having asthma attacks. I’ve emailed my property management company who has sent out texts, but the smokers in the building are still smoking indoors.
This property collects water in its basement, owner disposes of water by running a hose tube, to the property line, which causes soil erosion, utility pole erosion, and water on public sidewalk.
I've noticed that the uReport system no longer shows the text of the updates made. There are only dates and words like "open" and "assignment" and "closed." Citizens cannot see what the City has said or reported about these uReports. There are no details on who is working on the case, what is being done, etc. Is there a reason why this information has gone away and transparency is now lost?
Toyota Yaris - AGU492 has been here for a number of months now and hasn't moved. Front right tire is flat. Also looks damaged.
The North/South alley between 810 W. 7th and 804 W. 7th is being encroached upon by gardens, woodpiles, trees/vegetation and possibly the fence and cinder block garage owned by 810 W 7th St. As a result, the alley traffic is being diverted outside of the alley right of way and onto the private property located at 804 W. 7th. This appears to have been going on for a number of years. As the new owner of 804 W. 7th St., it is my full intention to re-claim the property/property line currently being encroached upon and proceed with renovations. I request that the Street Dept contact the owner of 810 W. 7th and order the encroachments be removed. With the assistance of a surveyor, I have located the NW and SW corner pins delineating the right of way and pounded new T posts just outside of the right of way in those spots and plan to post the entire property line once the encroachments are removed. Were I to reclaim the property line today, the alley would become impassible due to said encroachments. I request your assistance in remedying this situation in a civil and legal manner, as requests to the homeowner of 810 W.7th have fallen upon deaf ears. I request that you keep me in the loop regarding this issue. I would be happy to meet with a representative of the street dept, with survey in hand, to assist in clarifying and remedying this issue, as renovations of 804 W. 7th will begin in a few weeks. The whole stretch of East Moores Pike between Sare Rd and Andrew Circle needs drainage work. Whenever there's even a little rain the ground either side of the road drains into the road for a week after. There's black ice all over it pretty much all winter and it's a fast road on a steep hill. During even light rain it's deep enough to cause hydroplaning.
