Marcus Moyer reported two potholes on a bridge near Lucky's and the B-line trail. One that he had previously reported is now covered with a metal sheet, but he was hoping that could be repaired in addition to a new one nearby. He didn't give much description about the location. Dear Mayor's office, I have two issues I would like to bring to your attention and ask about: First, are you aware of BPD's decision to fly black flags from police patrol cars, and did you approve this? I join members of BPD and the wider community in mourning the loss of life in Dallas this past week, but I also believe that allowing the BPD to choose this type of public display on vehicles that are tax-payer funded, is improper. Can I request that these publicly owned vehicles fly black flags when coal miners are killed on the job, or when police take the life of unarmed citizens? Second, my partner and I were enjoying a swim at Bryan Park pool on Sunday, when we noticed an individual openly carrying a hand gun poolside, and standing very prominently while pacing the area. We immediately left the pool and did not directly confront the individual because of uncertainty over the law. Why is this allowed? My reading of Indiana open carry law is that municipalities are allowed to ban open carry on property they control or administer. Is this not the case? I wish to make clear that we enjoy the pool system and are grateful to the city for providing, and appreciate the work of our police force, as well. We look forward to hearing from you. The garbage and Recycling materials sit in the back yard of 921 S. Washington week after week while it blows all over my yard. I spoke to the owner, Gary Tauder about this last year, and asked him if his tenants could please keep their garbage lided until emptied, and removed on a weekly basis. He ignored my request. Please ask either the owner or the residents to keep the garbage at this residence lided, and remove garbage and Recycling materials on a timely basis. The house at 922 S. Washington, across the street from 921 leaves Recycling materials on their lawn next to the sidewalk for 2 weeks until pick up time, and leaves the garbage in a can with no lid. Their garbage has been blowing all over my yard for weeks. I know this because I see envelopes with their address on it. Please ask them to put a lid on their garbage can, and keep their Recycling inside until pick up time, since Recycling containers are typically unlided. Thank you. Judith Sylvester
I am concerned about the health of the large old sycamore tree in Rev. Butler Park, at the intersection of W. 9th and N. Maple Streets. This magnificent tree, known locally as "the 9th Street Sycamore," is losing its new leaves, which lie shriveled in the streets and gutters around the intersection. The leaves that are still on the tree appear pale, small, and weak/limp, ready to fall shortly themselves. I live across from this tree and have NEVER seen it look unhealthy until this season. Please have a specialist evaluate this important landmark.

Would it be possible to extend the turn signal time at Kinser/Madison and Hwy 46? When turning left from Kinser/Madison onto Hwy 46, the light only allows 2 cars to get through before changing. When Bloomington North lets out or the normal 5pm rush hour, I have sat through that light waiting to turn as much as 4 times and on one occasion several months ago, traffic was backed up and I sat through 7 signal changes before finally being able to turn. It really slows down traffic and backs it up. Thank You for your consideration.
On the evening of Tuesday, May 24, I was at Ferguson Dog Park with my leashed dog, Duke, and my friend had her dog (also on a leash). As soon as we entered the park another dog immediately became aggressive and repeatedly attempted to bite my dog and my friend's dog. At one point this dog had one of our dogs on the ground, on top of it. The owner very casually and unconcerned strolled over and grabbed his dog and said, "Now don't do that." This dog continued to be aggressive to other dogs present, even biting and drawing blood on another dog. It was that altercation where other people had to separate the dogs because the owner just sat there and finally got up to get his aggressive dog. The owner did nothing to stop his dog from this atrocious behavior. This owner and his dog are a liability and god forbid a child or any human gets bitten by this dog. I do not have a name or license plate number because I did not feel i could safely obtain that information. I do have a picture of the man and woman and dog.
