I live at 2206 S Rockport Road in Bloomington. Our mailbox post is on the sidewalk, and needs to be replaced. I plan to hire a contractor to install a new post, which may require digging into the sidewalk to remove the old post and install the new one. Of course the contractor will do a proper patching job on the sidewalk. Do I need any special permission to proceed with this project? Many thanks.
Please remove the signs from this roundabout, which is a city right-of-way. Signs go up at this location on a very regular basis. It's time to start to fine the groups which post signs there.

Too many cars, dump trucks, and even school buses are speeding on W. 17th St. west of the roundabout to the hill. Sometimes they're going in excess of 20 mph above the posted speed limit (which is 25 going east and 30 going west). Plus many of the vehicle, particularly motorcycles, have terrible mufflers that far exceed the noise specified by the Bloomington noise ordinance. It's unbearable at times (not exaggerating). I can't even hold a conversation on my front porch. And other neighbors are awakened every night by the noise. If this isn't the right place to post this complaint, please send me the correct contact information.
This is only one of the dumpsters currently at the limestone crossing apartments. We have called the limestone crossing office multiple times the past 2 months regarding how disgusting the dumpster is, I myself am to scared to even walk in there to throw away trash out of fear of bed bugs possibly being in there from the furniture. I am unsure who to reach out to about this issue.
Hi Folks, Recently I reported that a neighbor of mine had not been cutting his grass (he lives at 2227 Laurelwood Drive). Someone from your office put a note on his door, and within a couple days the grass was cut. Thank you! However, this weekend I received the written warning from the city! (I live at 460 Laurelwood Drive...funny numbering in this subdivision). My grass is always well-kept, so I think someone just got confused. The form said this warning was issued by #208. Just know that the person at 2227 Laurelwood Drive did not get the warning, and it would be great to remove the warning from my records. Thanks so much! Dan Woodside
At the intersection of E 3rd St and College Mall Rd motorists headed west on E 3rd St and turning south onto College Mall Rd often crowd into the intersection as their light turns yellow and then red. They then are blocking the intersection so that people traveling east on East 3rd are blocked from proceeding. Today they blocked the intersection for almost he entire duration of the green light for those traveling East on 3rd St. My suggestion is to post an officer at this intersection and ticket persons who are blocking the intersection when the light for the eastbound cars on 3rd St turns green.
This renter had these piled up attracting mice when there is already a rodent poison battle going on - this is a wildlife area an owl could be poisoned by dead mouse - now he is blocking the sidewalk a federal violation. City events in the summer are hot, the pavement is even hotter. Tons of folks had pets out at the pride event weekend, for example, and they were walking them on pavement in 93 degree weather which makes the pavement over 130°F. Very few of these pets had booties on to walk around and there was little to no water present. Why is animal control not presenting this information about pet safety and temperatures when it is animal abuse to burn a pet’s feet? Please decide to be present and post this information in common spaces for folks to see and increase reminders about pet safety.
