I noticed ice here a few times last winter but thought it was just frozen road runoff and it wasn’t super cold last year so ice build-up wasn’t significant. But it’s been well below freezing and there shouldn’t be standing water. I didn’t observe anything like this in the spring, summer or fall. I assume there’s a small water line leak underground, perhaps underneath the road. The road is cracked along the edge so there may be some freeze/thaw going on. It doesn’t seem to be an emergency — the flow seems pretty minimal but it does generate some ice south of the wet area when below freezing. I wanted to report this now that I realize what is going on. I placed a stake with orange flagging tape in the area where it seems like water is coming to the surface. Thanks for looking into this. The water at Ferguson dog park has been shut off. This is a pretty big problem because dog owners have been taking their dogs here to exercise them expecting that the water will be on to hydrate their dogs. There's no sign or explanation about why the water is off or when it will be back on.

I filed a report about three weeks ago about a blocked storm drain that keeps overflowing and spilling water into our yard. It overflowed yesterday, and it's like a river of water running over the street and into our yard. The water is doing considerable damage to our side and back yard--it's basically underwater whenever it rains. This really does require some serious attention. Either a more thorough clean up or repair. It's costing us 100s if not 1000s of dollars in repairs to our yard. Please try to fix this. The storm drain is clogged on the 1300 block of W 6th Street, and our house is 1315 west 6th street.

The storm pipe/drain does not appear to have sufficient capacity to handle flash flood events. Storm water from the neighborhood overflowed from the street, and then flowed across the neighbor's driveway and down the slope into our property, flooding our crawl space. Last night there was literally a small river of water running aside and into our house, moving so fast that I could not safely walk outside until the rain subsided. We need an engineer to evaluate the current drainage system, in particular the capacity of the storm pipe and culvert that runs directly between our property and the neighbor's. We can make some mitigating improvements on our own property, but we really are not equipped to handle the sheer volume of stormwater from the entire neighborhood during very heavy periods of rain like we saw last night. I took some videos during the flood that we can send as well.

There are two storm water grates that are dangerous to bicycles that should be replaced. They are located at the south-east corner of the Monroe County Courthouse Square. One is on the west side of Walnut St and the other is on the north side of Kirkwood Ave. These grates have long openings parallel to the street. A bicycle wheel can penetrate deeply into these grates and thus throw the rider and/or damage a bicycle.

The neighbors in shadow creek would like to see the city be more proactive in persuading the owner of this building lot to keep the grass mowed and remove the invasive trees that have grown out of the ponding water. The ponding happens after each rain and is a health issue for the residents, and a safety issue for kids on this street. This lot has looked like this for years as the 2 doctor investors that owned it previously were not inclined or forced to maintain it or properly fill it in. Anything you can do to help protect our property values by threatening fines and actions against the owner would be much appreciated. thank you, shadow creek residents.

"Appears to be a water main leak on NE side of W 2nd/Cory Ln intersection, in front of Phillips 66 station. Water is on 2nd St and in the intersection, especially at night.

The alleyway between Cardinal Spirits at 922 S Morton St and the building to the North of us continues to flood and cause water to flood down into our building. We would like to request some kind of simple drainage solution such as a ditch to be installed to mitigate this problem.
