Stormwater runoff into detention area on E. Brightcrest on east side of S. Smith Road is slow to drain due to vegetation blockage of storm sewer. During heavy rain it results in water flowing over sidewalk and into the street. It also is flooding spruce trees and thus may be detrimental to their health if the condition continues into somewhat warmer weather.
What IS GOING ON? I reported a water valve cover missing over 3 weeks ago on 1800 E Hillside Dr at the corner of 1500 S Dorchester Dr. You have an 8" hole in the road & right at school bus stop.
I reported this issue back in April. No one has touched it. There is a massive track about a foot deep right off the edge of the road. It is constantly full of mud and water that worsens every time it rains. Please take care of this before winter!!
The alley next to my house has a deep ditch from water runoff. Hoping you can come and level it off, so my car doesn't get damaged. It's at the entrance to the alley, 516 S. Highland Ave. Thank you!
Pothole near covered water access/manhole type area on 17th Street going east. Nearest intersection is 17th and Woodlawn, but the pothole is before you get to 17th and Woodlawn if you are going east on 17th Street. It is in the concrete area surrounding the manhole.
There are on average 6-7 cars parked in the grass and drive. There are piles of trash surrounding the trashcans in the front. They've made a DIY fence made of baby gates, random fences and items they've found. From what I understand they do not rent, but are possibly past an eviction notice. It's possible there is no running water so where are all these people going to the bathroom or water? There are dogs on the property. How are they getting water? The building is falling apart. The city needs to step in and help the owner with this situation. There have been multiple reports on this property, animal control has been at the property regularly.
Near the alley way at 401 N Dunn water does not drain properly and builds up with gravel and dirt making it difficult for handicap travel. 8th Street has been paved over so many times that drainage is impaired. There is quite a bit of debris there now and this holds a lot of water during a rain event. Finally the alley has been patched a little but it is in pretty bad shape and needs redone. The renter has had eight tires sitting in front of his garage since August of 2023. He has been asked to remove them but he only parked his huge white SUV in front of them. 1. they are unsightly 2. during the warm months the mosquitos will breed in the trapped water.

On Friday April 15th, 2022 around 7:35am I was driving through the intersection of W Second Street and S Adams Street in which there was a city water access hole without the lid resulting in a popped/flat tire on my front passenger side. I was wondering if the city could reimburse me for my auto repair bill considering the cause of my flat was a city water access hole where no lid was present.
