On Friday April 15th, 2022 around 7:35am I was driving through the intersection of W Second Street and S Adams Street in which there was a city water access hole without the lid resulting in a popped/flat tire on my front passenger side. I was wondering if the city could reimburse me for my auto repair bill considering the cause of my flat was a city water access hole where no lid was present.
All the storm water runoff from the White Oak Cemetery basin, during very hard rains, cannot be handled by the 4-storm drains near the intersection of 7th and Oak Streets. The excess is diverted through the gravel parking of our neighbor at 1025 W 7th, washing the gravel onto the street. The storm water then turns and washes through the alley between 6th & 7th Streets. It then goes through our carport and yard washing our mulch away in places. Oak street was paved in the past and is higher than the storm drain at 7th and Oak so any excess water has do go through the gravel parking instead of down the street. I would be happy to meet someone to look at this problem. Thanks.
Wet bottom retention pond damaged by beavers, dam eroded and may fail. Water pipe directed to the creek falls short of spilling into the creek by 15 feet and is eroding the bank and exposing 50% of fine-tree roots near the bank.
Hi. I'm very sorry to bother but as I was cleaning my bathroom a bit ago I found huge dead cockroach in my shower. I'm a very clean person despite being physically disabled and legally blind live on own so keeping my place clean is difficult. There's been problems with the lines under the trailers here off/on for about a year now. There have been repairs made to many however. There is oftentimes a smell of sewer outdoors. I've had odors in my kitchen particularly when using water in sink for a while now too. I've been having a problem with the roaches off/on for several months as well. I've done all I can but I fear they're somehow coming from the underneath of my trailer into the pipes that go into the water/sewer lines. I've contacted the management in past for help in find out the source to that area is they're responsibility but I received no resolution to the trailers are the responsibility of the tenants. I've got roach bait in about every room so the roaches find usually are dead but after seeing one in my bathroom shower upon cleaning I'm very uncomfortable with continuing to not contact on the situation. To this trailer park is on city sewer/water lines seems the most reasonable ones to contact. I'd greatly appreciate help in this matter. 8" water valve cover popped off at Hillside & Dorchester. Eastbound lane of Hillside. Cover at base of stopsign/streetsign SE corner of intersection. This is the 3rd time I've reported this in just over a week (1st 2x's by phone). Why don't you replace with a cover that can be LOCKED DOWN to keep it in place?
Smells of Septic sewage waste and dirty water coming from this home area. The odor is intoxicating and unbearable. People and students from school walk thru this dirt area. Unsanitary. Specially during this hot summer season.
Water/sewage is coming up into our house from the street. This happened a month or two or three ago, right after the city did some work on the main in the street (2 large spots visible in picture). A plumber confirmed both times that there is no backup between the house and the street, and he got the drain snake/declogger to go into the hole (white on the left side of the driveway/this image near the bottom of the driveway) 21 feet (I have a video, separately showing the measurements) or more both times. This time he wasn't able to get the hole unclogged in the street, so it is an urgent situation for us. We are pretty sure the guys who dug in the street to remain a main caused the issue because we never had a problem before then, and the first backup into the house was a couple of weeks after that this summer. We would like the city to come scope it and fix it ASAP please. The plumber suspects that the jackhammering and digging that the big trucks did in the street caused a partial or full collapse, given where the backup seems to be from what he can tell. Please let us know when you might be able to look at it. We have little kids and really need to be able to use water in the house. Thank you!
there are roots blocking the end of the waste water pipe from our house and that of our neighbor. Our pipe was backed up on Saturday and roto rooter came to look at the problem. They did what they could but this issue is on the city pipe. We would be grateful if someone could come and remove the roots asap as there is a real risk of the pipe becoiming blocked 9and the waste water flooding into the house and garage again) very soon. This issue has been reported perviously (with no response) and is now becoming a serious issue. Thank you for your help.
We are contacting you with hopes of getting some advice regarding the storm water stream that runs along E Vernon Ave in Matlock Heights neighborhood. There is a storm/ rain water stream( path) that runs under N Dunn Rd , goes west on E Vernon Ave and under Fritz Dr and eventually goes into a larger creek. Over the past few years this pathway has been deteriorating with some of the road erosion happening right before the water goes into the culvert under our driveway. The previous owner of our property added some rocks and blocks but it does not solve the road erosion problem. We are needing guidance and help since we do not know how to address the erosion and also the public road. Sewage water backing up into my basement. I have checked all of my own plumbing (bathroom in basement; water heater; washer) and everything seems to be in good shape. I have identified water coming (in reverse) out of the drain that services my AC/Furnace. That sewer water then makes its way to my basement floor drain and exits. I have obseved that at heavier usage times (when 2 of us are in the shower and the washer is on) the drain is unable to keep up and thus water ends up on the floor of my basement. This has been happening for about 4-5 days now.
