There is a large water main break outside of 407 E Varsity Lane in Bloomington IN, Water is pouring up from the sidewalk and causing a stream to run down the side of the house. Needs urgent care. Likely shutoff.
During some construction of some sort, dealing with the power lines in the alley to the left of my house, the case must have been brittle and they broke the lid to the water mane. They put an orange traffic cone over the hole, but it did not help anything. Due to it being open to the elements. My water mane froze. Im not sure if there is anything that can be done. But if someone could come by, replace the cover, and fix the water issue, it would be very helpful. Due to this issue, we have no running water.
Two trucks with power line workers drove up the alley directly adjacent to our residence, 409 E. University st to work on the power lines behind our house. During this process the covering to what we believe is our main water pipe was broken. We believe this because since then our water has not worked. They placed an orange cone on top of the hole and we assumed that the city would be informed of the issue but our water is still not working. All of our bills are and have always been paid so we know it hasn't bee turned off and now that temperatures are above freezing we know that it wasn't a frozen pipe as there is no flooding.
Hello, I am writing you again to address the storm water issue we have in front of our property. It has been almost a year since the process of fixing this issue has started and it is becoming frustrating. We have been very patient, and we understand that there are priorities in the city but if this issue is not addressed the road will continue to erode and soon we will not be able to access our driveway. As I stated, we started the process in March 2022; we waited until September and submitted another ticket UReport 181323; this time the crew came and did some work (since we did not receive any information, we did not know if they are finished by the way they left the project for the past few months). I wish I could attach more photos of the "finished " project. Anyway whenever they cleaned the trench, the asphalt was scraped, and everything was left as is and every time it rains all the dirt and sediments go in the culvert clogging it. The rain today made everything worse, the culvert is clogged and the water is again on the street. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing. Below is the first email we sent on March 14, 2022 Hello, We are contacting you with hopes of getting some advice regarding the storm water stream that runs along E Vernon Ave in Matlock Heights neighborhood. There is a storm/ rain water stream( path) that runs under N Dunn Rd , goes west on E Vernon Ave and under Fritz Dr and eventually goes into a larger creek. Over the past few years this pathway has been deteriorating with some of the road erosion happening right before the water goes into the culvert under our driveway. The previous owner of our property added some rocks and blocks but it does not solve the road erosion problem. During the home inspection, its come to know that the water inlet pressure is 80 PSI which is going to affect pipe fitting in the house and it is safety issue. I am looking for bLoomington utilities to install a pressure regulator so the water pressure could be lowered down to 60 PSI. I tried calling customer service but i havent got any help
We hired Arnolds Asphalt to put a driveway in and in the process of preparation, they found standing water where the meter is. Before we proceed with the driveway, I believe we need to have someone from the Bloomington city utilities department to inspect this to make sure there are no issues before new blacktop goes over it with a protective sleeve. We were notified after a fire about 2 or 3 years ago that there was a leak and there was standing water in this at the time perhaps do to the big fire trucks rolling over it while putting out the fire. Could someone please come inspect this to make sure there are no issues prior to blacktop?
Hi. I'm very sorry to bother but as I was cleaning my bathroom a bit ago I found huge dead cockroach in my shower. I'm a very clean person despite being physically disabled and legally blind live on own so keeping my place clean is difficult. There's been problems with the lines under the trailers here off/on for about a year now. There have been repairs made to many however. There is oftentimes a smell of sewer outdoors. I've had odors in my kitchen particularly when using water in sink for a while now too. I've been having a problem with the roaches off/on for several months as well. I've done all I can but I fear they're somehow coming from the underneath of my trailer into the pipes that go into the water/sewer lines. I've contacted the management in past for help in find out the source to that area is they're responsibility but I received no resolution to the trailers are the responsibility of the tenants. I've got roach bait in about every room so the roaches find usually are dead but after seeing one in my bathroom shower upon cleaning I'm very uncomfortable with continuing to not contact on the situation. To this trailer park is on city sewer/water lines seems the most reasonable ones to contact. I'd greatly appreciate help in this matter. To I'm very concerned for the health of myself and my geriactric cat with kidney disease now. Thank you very much. Rebekah
