I am a EC commissioner and Utility Dept Storm sewer volunteer and have been trying to keep my neighborhoods storm drains clear to prevent street flooding. I have been removing pavement fragments for several months that have washed downhill to the storm sewers at the intersection of Queensway and Chelsey Court. Today I cleared the debris from these at this location and added new eroded pavement that have been washing downslope to the drains. I consolidated the material on the curb and grass at the northeast drain at the intersection. This material can and has obstructed the drains and some has washed into the underground sewer line. Thus these drains when obstructed can result in street flooding, blocking the underground storm sewer and result in stream water contamination. Can these debris be removed and disposed of? Also before winter the patches of deteriorating black top be patched?

I am wondering why Olcott was left in this condition while repaving recently. This seems to be a good way for water to collect and even freeze if we get colder weather. Is there a plan to smooth this out? Could I also request that the end of Olcott/ Moores Pike gets a look. Already there has been Ice pools at the crease from paving. It’s a dangerous situation if a car cannot stop when ice forms there.
Thank you
Sharon

Good Street Dept. staff - bringing your attention to a street in the Park Ridge neighborhood: East Longview Ave. The photo shows some deterioration of pavement. Granted a water issue that is slowly being corrected by City staff though still an issue due to pooling water. You can see two layers of pavement coming up. WE were hoping the repaving on Longview would extend into the neighborhood but it stopped along the entry by the apartments. Please address this issue with patching or even better, milling and repaving. We would really appreciate the attention. We respect your huge responsibility all over the City and also our little corner. Thank you for considering this item - it is a well traveled road by neighbors, a bike path route so many bikers, walkers, etc. And those avoiding Pete Ellis and Third St. to travel east.

The South Arbutus Drive cul-de-sac needs repaving. The pavement is eroding away in several places, the north side of the green space in the middle of the cul-de-sac has become a pothole, and previous repairs/upgrades to water and gas lines have left the street in bad shape.

It appears that during the new apartment construction contractors caused the collapse of a storm water intake pipe and ensuing deep indentation of roadway surface.

I reported this issue back in April. No one has touched it. There is a massive track about a foot deep right off the edge of the road. It is constantly full of mud and water that worsens every time it rains. Please take care of this before winter!!

the road wrapping around my house (when bryan street meets Watson) is so worn down that when it rains, the water doesn't run off to the two sewer holes across the road, but directly back into my yard. It's been eating away at my yard. Also cars have now assumed the road is wider and cutting harder, also making my yard smaller. A neighbor said this is the place to request maybe a curb and the road repaved so water flows where it's supposed to. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
