Dear City of Bloomington Representative, Last night’s torrential rain brought a lot of water down our driveway from the street, some of which eventually ended up in our finished basement. We've lived at this address since 2009, and this has been a problem we've lived with since then. We’ve spent almost $15,000 on waterproofing our basement, installing storm drains at the bottom of our driveway, halfway down our driveway, and installing a berm on top of the driveway. Still, water that runs down the Anita Street takes a hard right into our driveway and overwhelms our systems. Anita Street slopes south to north, after it has turned from the east to west slope of East 2nd street. We believe a majority of the water coming down Anita Street actually ends up in our driveway. A lot of the water from the street also collects in the yard of our neighbor, Allyson Youat Schnable. Water that has come into our basement has damaged equipment, furniture, boxes and their contents, and is a threat to our foundation. I believe we have exhausted our options to comprehensively deal with the amount of storm water that is presented to us. We would love for the city to address the water coming down the street. Residents at 814 S. Eastside Drive routinely park on their lawn to fit 4 to 5 vehicles in the driveway. There are 2 cars parked on the lawn.

We rent the house at 1902 E 2nd St. Somehow the metal pole for the "No Parking at Any Time" sign in our front yard was broken. The base is still in the ground but the sign and pole are now lying on the ground.

The city has come out and measured several times for a culvert to be installed in front of my driveway. The problem is that the street is higher than my driveway and this house is at the bottom of a hill. When it rains all the debris from the street and houses above me come into my driveway. There is so much water that my basement can flood and the water level can easily reach several feet deep. I have at the moment blocks of stones in front of my driveway so that the debris and water keeps going down Mitchel street instead of blocking the small drainage grates that are in driveway. sidewalk bridge handrail top pieces are loose - at least 2 dozen screws have rusted out. please replace with galvanized screws.

A hole has appeared next to the sidewalk by the grass,that goes under the sidewalk. It is about 24" deep and could be dangerous if the sidewalk caved in. It is about 8' in from the corner of University St on Eastside Drive. Could somebody check it please. Thanks
