I am a homeowner with storm drainage infrastructure running alongside and underneath my yard. The majority of the Cascade Neighborhood drains though here and the conduit along Skyline is crumbling and heavily damaged. This needs to be repaired in order to accommodate the volume of water now common in our storms. Further, I am concerned that the underground portion is compromised. I see several sinkholes in my yard from subsidence. There are actually two conduits running though - one from alongside my yard, and another that runs from across the street in my neighbors yard. Additionally, there was a portion of erosion along my back fenceline that had eroded around a city sewer access point. Since the city came to fill this, I have had flooding in my garage - correlated to this directly. I have owned my home for over 10 years and am noticing the impacts of hydrostatic pressure in my basement - am issue I’ve never had before. I am concerned that the many city lines that run though my yard are compromised- leading to this problem. I would greatly appreciate meeting with a utilities manager to discuss these issues and have a scope of these lines performed.

The new builders on the corner of Covenanter Drive and High Street installed a pipe last week. Our concern is that the pipe was not installed low enough to keep the flow of water continuing to High street and beyond. With the rainy season coming...we are concerned that the pipe will make water back up on our property. The city just spent two weeks closing off High street to fix this issue and now we are concerned that the new builders have just put something in (but not properly installed it) so they could have a little rock culvert to get to their property off of Covenanter Drive. I sent an email to Vic Kelson and Brandon Prince on Thursday, but never heard back from them. I am writing again because we would like this matter to be taken care of now before they get more involved with building and it is too late to fix the problem. I would appreciate if somebody would get back with me on this matter. Thank you.

The entire street on Olive between Thornton and Miller has flooded with BLACK WATER yet again damaging 5 properties. The flooding is more severe due to the regrettable actions the city took to dump excess asphalt into the low point in the road. It's 2 am so I will not be photographing until dawn, but let me assure you, severe damage has been done by the city of Bloomingtons willful neglect of this area. We were promised a fix last year, and now during a quarantine we are flooded with BLACK WATER.

https://bloomington.in.gov/crm/tickets/view?ticket_id=167365 I just opened a new ticket for the most recent flood, but I am appalled by the response "I want to try something" neglectful attitude that has led to BLACK WATER flooding during a quarantine. We are unable to deal with this extent of damage without compromising ourselves and the community.

Do you are you hospital being built in Bloomington is putting its workers, their families and your city at risk every single day! They have no program in place to stop the virus from bringing brought on to their campus. They have no social distancing. They can’t keep hand sanitizer in the handwashing stations at the Porta Johns. For a while they had someone who was urinating in the hand sanitizer bottles after emptying them on a daily basis. Now they just steal them. There are 450+ people that come in to that job site on a daily basis from all over Indiana Kentucky Ohio Tennessee and they all are scared and you know that it is just a matter of time until one of them or more brings that virus into the community. Not only is it going to spread like wild fire through the worksite, it will spread through your community because they get gas and groceries and drive through and they interact all throughout your community. Are you health does not care about these workers or their safety. My significant other is a manager out there and does not have the choice to just walk away. The heartbreak that I see on a daily basis because of the worry is cement. Tonight we spent sucking washcloths both the dollar general and bleach and putting them in baggies so that there would be a way for all the workers to wipe down surfaces and have something to wipe their hands with to sanitize them. That’s the little bit that we are doing to try to keep them safe because are you help isn’t. We have been waiting for their plan for over a month on what they are going to do and we are still waiting! Please force them to shut that worksite down for a couple of months until this spike is over! Save our families save your community and save thousands of lives in the process through not having it spread through yours or dozens of other communities that these people go home to. PLEASE I’m begging you for help. This is life and death. I’m not ready to lose my mate yet. It’s not fair to have to make a choice between a lifetime career and the life of your family. I’m terrified that it’s going to come into my life...my home and take everything I love. Or maybe it’ll take me. And for what? A building that isn’t going to be done for 16 months!? Maybe if it was going to be done in a month I could see it. If there was a chance that it could be done and help to save lives but it won’t. There is no way that it can help with this battle so don’t make it make this any worse please! Thank you for your time and consideration. Water doesn't drain at all at this drain site. It pools in the street, and runs downhill overwhelming the drainage capacity on the other side of the circle down by 170 E Sunny Slopes Dr.

Hello. We recently moved to Bloomington as were told it was LGBT friendly. Does the City have a webpage of what Pride Month activities it is sponsoring? I haven't heard anything and am disappointed. I know it's crazy this year but it's still Pride. Thank you!

The vehicle is up on a block, some metal and other junk in the driveway. It has been there since Christmas (I think). The windows are broken out and it is just an accident waiting to happen. I don't think anyone is living there at this time, grass has not been mowed for sometime. I believe it is a rental. It would be terrible if some kid died over there playing around.
