Thank you Jeff & Cody for a job well done repairing/patching the area where the street meets our driveway! This is my first time using UReport. I did not expect such a quick response to the UReport I submitted Friday evening. Your courteous & polite personalities represent the City of Bloomington well! I very much appreciate all you do! Thanks again! Lori Brenner

For years I have problems with my neighbor's trash in my yard. His cans are on Habitat Street, his own private dump, despite a City Ordinance prohibiting it. He does not empty his trashcans, he does not cover them; animals take trash to nearby yards and other parts of City property. In the past, Wykoff was not helpful, and Mayor Kruzan was not interested, and the police had other priorities. Recently it has bounced around in City bureaucracy for months: HAND, the Street Department, back to HAND, over to Title VI, back to HAND, and back to the Street Department, which they will not enforce the Ordinance. Trash still appears in my yard. There must be organizational and management issues, but the results are the same: no solutions. The appearance is either incompetence or corruption. I am tired of the run-around; I have lost the use of my property and it's full value. I just want the cans moved back on his property, away from mine. If the cans are not a real problem, then they can not be a real problem on his own property. The next escalation goes to the Police Department, the Herald-Times, or the Courts.

I recently attended a peaceful protest downtown for the Black Lives Matter movement. The Mayor gave a very nice and well received speech on the courthouse lawn. I have found that this speech has since been posted to YouTube where I have had the chance to listen to it again. During his speech he spoke about transparency at all levels in local Government. The Mayor also made mention of the fact that window tint was being removed from all Police cars in order to promote this. I believe that this was a step in the right direction. Yet despite this, I still have seen administrators at the Department getting in and out of their cars while I walk to class and while they are driving around town with window tint still on their Police cars. Why has the window tint not been removed from these Police vehicles despite the fact that the Mayor wants complete and total transparency and these are people that should be some of the most transparent ones out there? Thank you.

Mayor Hamilton I know your not in charge of I--69 but I work at Monroe Hospital and the intersection and overpass being built is taking far more time than it should. Some rumors I have heard its Political was the reason for it not getting done. The light was taken down at Vernal Pike and the over pass near there already done. I also feel I-69 should of been done in each section being done one at a time. Also there are so many roads in Bloomington that needs address---like Leonard Springs Rd its awful I have to drive it and I really feel for all the bus drivers--which I know is just one of many. Please don't let I-69 take away from fixing much needed other roads. Also Bloomington was once a great Manufacturing city ---we need more of those ---I don't like the fact that just like RCA--and Otis and now GE--are things of the past and putting government money to up keep those places and shut them down is totally not right. We are tax payers and were getting ripped off. I know this letter probably won't matter. Thanks for listening Jennifer Jennifer a

Thankfully the annexation without representation was blocked. Democrats confuse legality with morality. To increase taxes on someone without representation in the process is immoral. If annexation is so obviously right, why did the mayor seek to do so by involuntary annexation. The state law needs to be changed so people have a voice in the process. For a millionaire developer and a mayor to keep me from voting is undemocractic . For the Democrats in Bloomington to say they are for the little man and then turn around and pull such a stunt does not speak well of politics in the city of Bloomington.

I live near the fire station. Today(06/27) about 6:30pm I opened the door, went out and found some fire fighters chatting on the fire station's balcony. I'm sure they noticed me, too. I passed the station and there is no other people walking at that way at the same time. I heard a hugh shouting to me in a sudden. I think it was the gang on the balcony trying to scare me and make fun of me. Just because I'm an Asian girl.

Your homeless people problem within the city of Bloomington is out of control. It is ruining the city an it's image. Even Inpls TV news is bashing the city for it's pathetic attempt at dealing with the issue. People feel unsafe as do local students. Who gets the blame when something terrible does occur? The mayor's office has certainly known of this problem for quite some time now. It will be the mayor's office having to answer the questions of the victims whenever something does occur. Fix it. The people of Bloomington deserve better.
