Two houses from where this scooter was parked in the 700 block of S Eastside Drive, there lives a blind person. She already has made one fall after a collision with a 'parked' scooter. I thought the scooter companies were not going to accept payment until they had proof (a picture?) that the renter had parked the scooter in a responsible manner. So much for that!
Much has been written in the paper about the scooters. I feel we are in an impotent city if we cannot stop such an invasion which results in emergency room visits and the trashing up of our-what used to be -quaint town. Please just round them all up and then figure out how to proceed. They dumped them here without permission.
7 scooters blocking sidewalk at 2nd street and High street. Man tripped and hurt himself on them
Four Bird Scooters left in front of residence blocking public sidewalk 514 N Washington Street, Bloomington, IN
Your "include a photo" does not seem to be working. Email me if you want it. Bird scooters parked(probably by charger) blocking only narrow sidewalk on Second Street just east of High St. Road is very narrow. One fell into street and almost caused a swerving car to hit my car. I tried to go back and move the scooter but someone had already run over it.
There seems to be a disabled Lime scooter lying flat at Willis and 17th St. (northeast on Willis) next to the small strip mall.
Scooter blocking sidewalk, 600 block, South Ballantine, west side of street.
We have called Bird Scooters twice, and asked them to have their "wranglers" not leave 3-4 scooters in front of our house every day. They always apologize, say this will be resolved - and nothing changes. We would like to know what, if anything, we can do about this. Are home owners really just stuck putting up with this? We live in a historic home, and can't paint our front porch without getting permission, yet someone can line up four scooters along our wrought-iron fence without a care. What recourse do we have that the city will support?
