The person who lives at this address produces unreasonable noise on a regular basis in their truck. Most definitely this is a diesel truck and yes, those are louder than other vehicles. However, this person has the need to accelerate intensely on Fairview from stop sign to stop sign and then loudly accelerate the short distance to their house. This happens most every single day and multiple times as this person regularly comes and goes with and without a trailer full of equipment. According to Bloomington's Municipal Code section 14.09.040, unreasonable noise shall mean sound that is of a volume, frequency, or pattern that prevents, disrupts, injures, or endangers the health, safety, welfare, prosperity, comfort or repose of reasonable persons of ordinary sensitivities within the city of Bloomington, given the time of day or environment in which the sound is made. Also included, and described in more detail in Section 14.09.030 of the Bloomington Municipal Code, is unreasonable noise from cars including specifics about mufflers and baffles. It is unknown as to if this is an OEM/stock exhaust system but it is disruptive on a regular basis even when inside a house with all the windows closed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Inaccessible Parking

A car has been abandoned across the way from my front door. It’s been sitting theirs since Monday and it has no plates and no one has been by to move it. It’s taking up parking for other residents and my self. Any possible way we can get this towed away? I have five kids and is kinda of a nuisance to have to park down the block and take a extra walking distance to get the safely to our door!

The home that I rent had a city rental inspection conducted in November. I was home and neither did the inspector inspect everything that is listed on the pre-inspection addendum nor did they speak with me. There are a few issues that I would have pointed out if given the opportunity. Most notably, as listed in HAND's documentation, it states that All required openable windows shall be capable of remaining open on their own hardware. That is not the case in this home and that was not inspected. Can someone please explain to me what the procedure is for inspections? There are other issues as well that I had erroneously assumed would have been inspected since they are on the list of what is required of a rental property to have in good order.These are not issues that are perhaps directly impacting me at the moment but I do feel strongly that the house should be in actual full compliance so as to protect future renters. Property owners who rent their property should be held fully accountable to what the ordinances stipulate. Is it because of COVID that the inspector spent less than five minutes "inspecting" the entire house? Thank you.

The bushes alongside the east side of Fairview have grown out and over obscuring the 'no parking' sign. Over the past two years, there has been an increase in commercial vehicles (tree trimmers/landscapers) as well as delivery trucks thinking it is okay to park in front of a stop sign on a slight hill. This is obstructing the view of the intersection and creating a dangerous situation when vehicles are forced into oncoming traffic to pull around the stopped vehicle. Combine that with the reckless drivers who are speeding on 13th street, oftentimes taking the turn from 13th to go south on Fairview at very high speeds, and the result is a dangerous situation. Please improve the line of sight. Thank you.

Feb 15 - I would like to uderstand what happened to my alley and stone wall. The alley that I maintain and mow since 2005 now has a load of greavel dumped on it - without any notification or reason. This makes it unsightly, less usable for walking and unmowable. Portions of the stone retaining wall along N Fairview Street have also been destroyed. Neighbors reported seeing a City truck knocking the wall down and then trying to jam it back in place with a backhoe. But the results of how it was left can be seen in the attached photo. Both of these will be costly to repair. Do you know who was responsible for this?

Dogs barking all the time on 13th street. The barking is at all hours of the day and it never stops. There are owners there that will call for them occasionally, but most of the time they don't stop it.
