The new builders on the corner of Covenanter Drive and High Street installed a pipe last week. Our concern is that the pipe was not installed low enough to keep the flow of water continuing to High street and beyond. With the rainy season coming...we are concerned that the pipe will make water back up on our property. The city just spent two weeks closing off High street to fix this issue and now we are concerned that the new builders have just put something in (but not properly installed it) so they could have a little rock culvert to get to their property off of Covenanter Drive. I sent an email to Vic Kelson and Brandon Prince on Thursday, but never heard back from them. I am writing again because we would like this matter to be taken care of now before they get more involved with building and it is too late to fix the problem. I would appreciate if somebody would get back with me on this matter. Thank you.

To whom it may concern, The following describes multiple code violations from Chandler Automotive that I noticed/experienced during the process of retrieving my towed car from their site. I have video/audio evidence of the violations, and I would prefer if someone reached out to me so I can submit these as proof. It will only allow me to upload images through this submission form. Thank you: BMC 4.32.140(b): Called the number at around 5:30pm to ask to retrieve car, employee stated that she will not be able to get my car until about 9:30/10pm. This is in violation of part 1 of section B, as well as violation of part 2 of section B, since this was well outside the sixty minutes. I recorded the phone call where the employee told me 10pm. Please reach out if you would like this evidence. BMC 4.32.140(f): The invoice, see attached, is not itemized correctly pursuant to the requirements of I.C. 24-14-5-1. The invoice is missing/incorrectly accounted for the following: - I.C. 24-14-5-1(4)(D) - No VIN number. - I.C. 24-14-5-1(4)(C) - No year. - I.C. 24-14-5-1(5) - License plate # is incorrect. - I.C. 24-14-5-1(C) - No explanation is given for the additional charges incurred, which is required here. BMC 4.32.130(a)(2) - The company attempted to charge me $185 for the tow. One $25 charge being a go jack fee, and the other being a dollies fee. Since a go jack fee is a special fee, the total for those should not be $50 according to the code, but a maximum of $25. They corrected this upon me providing them a copy of the code. However, I have audio recording of them attempting to charge me that amount, and being unable to explain these additional charges. BMC 4.32.120(a) - As stated above, the towing company failed to comply with applicable state law in the invoice. BMC 4.32.120(e) - The vehicle was not able to be claimed upon calling at 5:30pm on 4/18/2024. Please reach out for a copy of the evidence as I am not able to upload it here. These laws were created by the legislature with the intention to be construed strictly due to the stated purpose of this chapter being to protect the public from unconscionable practices (BMC 4.32.010). Please reach out to me if you have any additional questions. I plan on following up in fourteen (14) days if I have not heard back from the city on this matter by that time. The stretch of Hillside between High and Henderson is dangerous for all modes of transportation - there is no safe place to make a left-hand turn from any intersection north or south, especially at rush hours. At least one or more signals and/or 4way stops are needed. Please don't wait for accidents to happen to address the problem. thank you

Homeless encampment in the woods on what I can only gather is public land but I'm not sure if someone owns it. They have completely trashed the area in and around these woods. They do drugs, are loud and dangerous. They have a bunch of cars and trash on N Summit close to the woods they stay in. There is trash all around the vehicles. I don't think they should be allowed to trash the neighborhood and cause issues.

Sewer is backing up into the basement of the home. The plumber ran 100 ft of sewer cable through the basement cleanout. Pulled back wipes and roots. Line not open. Tested line by flushing toilet and running kitchen sink. Line tested bad. There’s only 55 ft from basement drain to middle of the street. Plumber ran 100ft of Sewer cable without meeting obstruction.

There is absolutely no parking available for residents who live at 1200 W Kirkwood Ave apartments. The resident who lives in 1208 1/2 has 6 different vehicles parked on N Pine Street and has made parking impossible for anyone else who lives here. I’m reporting this here as I’m not sure of anywhere else to report this? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Numerous attempts to speak with the tenant have failed.

I would like to request sidewalks/speed bumps on Elliston Dr. in Sherwood Oaks Neighborhood. Elliston is the main thourough fair to Sherwood Oaks Park, Jackson Creek Trail and Olcott Park, which also leads to Childs Elementary and Jackson Creek Middle School. There is significant foot traffic daily of adults, kids and pets being walked. Children go to school on this route and yet there is nothing provided to keep them safe. There are currently no sidewalks to keep foot traffic safe and no speed bumps to slow down traffic. People speed through this area whether local traffic or visitors to the park and what the city has done to date is not enough. Someone is going to get hurt and it will be on the onus of those who have chose to do nothing to keep pedestrians safe. Please consider making a change and putting sidewalks/speed bumps in to allow for safe travels for all in this area. Thank you

On the ridge overlooking the northernmost part of the B-Line - close to where the B-Line intersects with Adams St. there is a growing camp. The picture here was taken on 4/1/2024. There is trash flowing downhill from the camp on the ridge. Some of the trash includes at least 3 propane tanks. The camp is less than 0.25 miles from homes and a park. It is a bit scary to think that the campers might be using the propane inside their tents. What can be done to help these folks stay warm and dry without the risk of blowing up a neighborhood?
