Hello. The stoplight on Kingstone and 3rd street does not work properly. It turns green on the mall side (on the 53rd bank side) every other time. Therefore, we have to wait for 2 change of lights before we could move. I have experienced that 5 times now. Today, it happened at 8:11 am.
Hello, I am filing this report to follow up on open case #181958 regarding "Cross-traffic does not stop" indication signs to be added to the West- and East-facing stop signs. I would like to see this report acted upon as there have been more collisions and near-misses since I originally reported this intersection and as a nearby resident, it would reduce the extra noise (honking, collision sounds, yelling, etc) off an already very busy/noisy street, and I worry for the safety of drivers, especially those unfamiliar with this unique intersection that are most at risk for causing an accident to occur. Thank you for your consideration in this important matter, and I hope my remarks are helpful as you move forward to a solution.
We live on a one way street but there is only a one way sign on the main road entrance of the street. As a result of this, GPS navigation sends cars down the wrong way of the one way and this is incredibly dangerous. There needs to be a new sign put in on the other side of the street to stop this from happening.
THe street light at 1017 E Miller Drive has been burned out for several weeks.
There is a stop sign next to 521 W. Kirkwood that is stuck down in a pipe & facing west toward 601 W. Kirkwood.
Resident reports that the stop sign at the intersection of 7th and Indiana is on the left side of the road and believes that it is against regulations to not have one on the right side. Additionally, resident reports that the stop sign at 7th and Woodlawn is also not in compliance due to exceeding height limitations. The resident expressed his concern that there would be traffic accidents because of the home football game if these signs were not adjusted.
The stop sign on the right side of the road, when you're heading towards campus, is obstructed by the tree on this corner. It makes it confusing because the rest of the stop signs before this one were removed.
The "Stop at the Stop Bar" sign is missing. The sign and the pole have either been removed or stolen because you can see where it once was placed.
This is a sightline/sign issue, I am Bob Loviscek and I reside at 605 N Smith Road. The picture that is attached is from the end of my driveway looking South. The address of this issue is 601 N Smith Road. The treeline on this property is creating a significant safety issue by not being able to see northbound traffic coming on Smith Road. The trees also have overgrown to the point they cover the Bridge Height sign. I have emailed the offices of HAND and Planning and Transportation to help correct this problem and it still has not been taken care of. Relevant to ticket #169078, does this mean the first sign ("City of Bloomington Authorized Parking Only") is to be ignored entirely? If so, what purpose does it serve? I find this signage confusing and I know I'm not alone.
