The Risk Management Division stabilizes or reduces the increasing costs of insurance coverage for the City of Bloomington. It also protects the City against accidental loss or losses which, in the aggregate during any financial period, would significantly affect personnel, property, the budget or the ability of the City to continue to fulfill its responsibilities to taxpayers and the public. The Division administers the following programs:

  • Tort Claims reviews claims filed against the City to minimize the City's potential liabilities;
  • Safety Management promotes a safe work environment.
