About Muddy Fork

Muddy Fork is home to Indiana's only wood-fired brick-oven bakery, where we make the finest sourdough and whole-grain breads, granola and stellar croissants. We mill our own organic heritage wheat, rye, spelt and Kamut fresh for each bake on a stone mill. We make our bread in the ancient tradition of great bread-lots of water, freshly milled flour, salt and a wild leavening culture. The fermentation is long and slow, and the loaves have a crust that crackles and a light, moist crumb that keeps for days.We bake our bread and pastries in the early morning hours every Saturday and bring it at the peak of freshness to the farmers' market.

We offer popular all-day artisan bread and croissant-making workshops-each class is from 10 am to 4 or 5 pm. We will also host a 5-day artisan baking intensive course in the fall. Read more, or register here at our

We also offer prepared food on-site at market: You can get our famous pizza and foccacia hot out of our portable oven, as well as smoothies made with local fruit and yogurt, berry lemonade and organic hot cocoa.
