City Announces "Hola Bloomington" Logo Contest

Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington Community and Family Resources Department (CFRD) is calling on citizens to develop a logo for the "Hola Bloomington" radio program. The winning design will be used as the official logo for the radio program and the winner will receive a $200 gift certificate from Best Buy.

Hola Bloomington is a project of CFRD and WFHB Community Radio designed to bring access to news, entertainment and public opinion to the Spanish-speaking members of our community. The program airs every Friday from 6 - 7 p.m. on WFHB 91.3 FM and 98.1 FM.

The deadline for logo submission is Friday, Feb. 24, 2006. The artwork must be relevant to Hola Bloomington's purpose and mission statement, which is: "Hola Bloomington is a volunteer community Spanish radio program that provides a communication medium for Bloomington's Spanish speakers to share their views and have access to information about topics relevant to them. Hola Bloomington also serves as a bridge for communication and cooperation between service agencies and Spanish speakers in order to promote their participation and integration into the community."

Both amateur and professional designers are encouraged to participate.
