BAAC Hosts the City of Bloomington Public Meeting On New Entertainment And Arts District

Bloomington, IN -- The Bloomington Area Arts Council announced today that it will host May's Artists After Hours session on Tuesday, May 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Atrium. The event will feature a presentation by City of Bloomington staff and a public discussion period regarding the City's proposed Bloomington Entertainment and Arts District (BEAD). The public is encouraged to attend.

Danise Alano, Assistant Director of Economic Development, will lead the presentation and discussion. Mayor Mark Kruzan will attend to listen and respond to public comment, along with other City officials leading the BEAD project, including Maria Heslin, City Communications Director; Scott Robinson, Long Range/Transportation Manager; and Ron Walker, Director of Economic Development.

Artists After Hours is a free, monthly, informational networking session for area artists of all disciplines to share expertise and regularly engage in lively discussion. Each session is scheduled for the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. with time for an hour-long discussion followed by socializing with light refreshments.
