Celebrate Fiesta del Otoño/Fall Fiesta 2007 This Saturday

Bloomington, IN — The City of Bloomington Community and Family Resources Department proudly presents the Fiesta del Otoño or Fall Fiesta, Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at Bryan Park from noon-4pm. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 14, same time and location.

At the event, Latino artists and community members will showcase their talents and traditions, and local businesses will host booths featuring merchandise, jewelry, stained glass, fair trade goods, gourmet coffee and more. Bring the whole family to enjoy the many youth activities and a special appearance by the Indiana University Women’s Soccer Team. Performers include Bembé, La Piel Morena, Valeria de Castro, and the dance stylings of Arthur Murray Dance Studio and Arturo Rodriguez. Grupo de Teatro VIDA will give a live, bilingual performance.

Attendees also will be able to sample authentic Latin foods provided by El Norteno, KRC Banquet and Catering/Smokin' Jack's Rib Shack, Fajitas and La Charreada. Additional vendors will serve pan dulce, atole, empanadas and other traditional Latin cuisines.

The fiesta is co-sponsored by the City of Bloomington Community and Family Resources Department, WFHB and Monroe Bank.
