Bloomington, IN - Four Police Officers were sworn into service for the City of Bloomington Police Department during a ceremony at City Hall on Tuesday. Mayor Mark Kruzan conducted the ceremony, and Police Chief Mike Diekhoff subsequently provided them with their badges. With the four new officers, the total size of the force grows to 87.

"Any time we add dedicated officers to our growing Police and Fire teams, we are very, very proud," said Kruzan. "It is one of the great honors for me as Mayor to be able to swear these exceptional individuals into service."

Surrounded by their families and fellow officers, Benjamin L. Burns, Jeremy D. Cook, Anthony J. Fosnaugh and Joshua D. Taylor took the oath to protect and defend citizens of the Bloomington. All four men join the department with law enforcement backgrounds, three with Indiana University and one with Greene County.
