City of Bloomington Police Department Will Soon Begin Using New Black and White Cars

The City of Bloomington Police Department will begin using black and white patrol cars later this summer. The cars are painted black with a white vinyl wrap, which saves money over painting the cars black and white. The new color scheme is meant to increase visibility of the patrol cars and differentiate the department from other police agencies in the community.

The white vinyl wrap was designed by a committee of police officers and features the department's badge and name.
