Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington Sanitation Division is hosting an open house entitled Let's Talk Trash on Saturday, September 13, from 11am - 4pm at the Sanitation Garage, 3406 S. Walnut Street. The event is free and open to the public and is designed to provide residents with a behind-the-scenes look at the operations of the City's Sanitation personnel.

Shelby Walker, Director of Sanitation for the City, highlighted the importance of Let's Talk Trash.

"People often call with detailed questions about their trash and the way things are run here at Sanitation," said Walker. "Let's Talk Trash gives those folks and whoever might be interested the opportunity to see for themselves how intricate a process sanitation in Bloomington really is."

Walker, as well as other Sanitation staff, will be on-hand to welcome visitors and answer questions.
