City of Bloomington Police Department To Host Neighborhood Workshop

Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington Police Department will host a Neighborhood Watch community workshop on Monday, September 8,at 7pm at Police Headquarters, 220 East 3rd Street.

The workshop will focus on setting collaborative goals for neighborhood safety among community leaders, residents and the BPD. Officers will cover safety tips and encourage residents to be active participants in making sure neighborhoods remain safe.

Other topics of discussion will include a study of the current trends that neighborhoods are experiencing as well as some of the steps BPD is taking in response to these trends. Additionally, the current neighborhood watch reporting system will be discussed and ways to improve communications between the neighborhoods, Police Department and other agencies will be suggested.
