Bloomington's business, civic and educational communities came together Thursday afternoon for the Salvation Army's Kettle Campaign Kickoff fundraising luncheon. Local celebrities and city leaders collected donations from attendees, and the audience was treated to music and lunch at the Monroe County Convention Center. The event is held each year as a way to formally usher in Holiday fundraising season for the Salvation Army, and this year more than $28,000 was collected at the luncheon.
