Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington reminds residents that the City's recycling program for residents has not changed. Residents are asked to leave pre-sorted materials at the curb in containers not to exceed 35 gallons in size or 40 pounds in weight to be picked up on regularly scheduled pickup days.
Recycling pickup is provided free of charge every other week to recipients of city trash services. Bloomington residents can find their trash and recycling day by using the myBloomington online tool at www.bloomington.in.gov/mybloomington or by contacting the Sanitation Department at 349-3443 or sanitation@bloomington.in.gov.
The City's recycling program accepts plastics 1-7, steel and aluminum cans, clear glass, paper and cardboard.
