City Commission Sponsors Women’s Leadership Event

Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Women is holding a women's leadership development event on Monday, March 22 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 401 N. Morton Street. This year's theme for the annual event is "Leading the Way to a Brighter Future."
The event will begin with a reception at 5 p.m. Participants can enjoy refreshments and learn more about getting involved with the City of Bloomington Boards and Commissions as well as other local agencies. Following the reception, there will be an award presentation to Maggie Sullivan, the 2010 Emerging Leader, a keynote and panel discussion with local women leaders, and the Leadership Scholarship presentation.
Time will be reserved at the end of the event to network and speak with other participants. Admission to this event is free and it is a great opportunity to learn how to make a difference in the community.
Co-sponsors include City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Women, City of Bloomington Community & Family Resources Department, City of Bloomington Clerk's Office, American Association of University Women, Girls Incorporated of Monroe County, Middle Way House, Women Inspire and Indiana University Asian Cultural Center.
