Grimes Lane and Morton Street Closed for Installation of B-Line Trail Bridge

Bloomington, IN -- The City of Bloomington has announced a street closure on Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for installation of the B-Line bridge over Grimes Lane. Closed roads will include Grimes Lane/Patterson Drive from Walnut to Rogers Streets and Morton Street from Allen to Grimes Lane/Patterson Drive. Access to Grimes Lane between Walnut Street and the B-Line Trail be limited to Bloomington Transit and businesses along that section of Grimes Lane.
The first phase of the B-Line Trail was completed in the summer of 2009 and runs from Rogers Street to 2nd Street. Construction of the second phase of the B-Line Trail began in the spring of 2010 with an anticipated completion date of late summer 2011. The second phase is 2.4 miles long and runs from 2nd Street to Country Club Drive and from Rogers Street to Adams Street. With completion of the B-Line Trail, three trail systems will be connected: the B-Line Trail, the Bloomington Rail Trail and the Clear Creek Trail, for a total distance of 7.4 miles.
