City Public, Education and Government Channels Available on Smithville’s IPTV Service

Bloomington, IN -- The City of Bloomington and Smithville are pleased to announce the availability of the City's Public, Education and Government (PEG) channels on Smithville's IPTV service.
"Smithville is glad to be able to offer PEG channels to our customers," said Darby McCarty, President and CEO of Smithville.
This agreement means that Smithville will transmit local county and city meetings, which the public is used to seeing on Cable TV across its Internet Protocol Television network. Residents can view meetings of City Council, county government, school board and those of several commission for Bloomington and Ellettsville, plus much more free programming on these channels.
"We are pleased to enter into a mutually satisfactory agreement to bring this important local programming to members of our communities," said Rick Dietz, Director of Information & Technology Services for the City.
Bloomington PEG channels will appear on Smithville's IPTV service on the following channels:
Channel 31 - TIU World
Channel 301 - Bloomington City Government Channel 302 - Monroe County Government Channel 303 - Bloomington Library Channel Channel 304 - Bloomington Public Channel Channel 305 - SCOLA International News
