City of Bloomington to Hold Public Meetings on Proposed Title 16 Amendments
Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington is considering revisions to Title 16, commonly referred to as the City's Property Maintenance Code. City staff has previously conducted meetings with representatives of the apartment associations, the Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) and the Board of Housing Quality Appeals (BHQA) to receive input and suggestions. By utilizing those comments and suggestions and to better meet the needs of the community at large, City staff has prepared a proposal to amend Title 16.
These changes have the potential to impact a variety of members of the Bloomington community. As a result, three public forums will be conducted. The public may provide the City with comments, feedback and suggestions on the Title 16 amendments. The three meetings will be held at the following times: Wednesday, August 15 at 5:30 p.m.; Wednesday, September 19 at 4 p.m.; and Tuesday, October 2 at 4 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 401 North Morton Street. The purpose of these meetings is to receive feedback from the community to ensure that all needs are being met.
If you are unable to attend any of the meetings, you can send your feedback directly to Lisa Abbott, Director of HAND, at abbottl@bloomington.in.gov or call the HAND department directly at 349.3401.
