City to Commemorate 11th Anniversary of 9/11

BLOOMINGTON, IN - The City of Bloomington will commemorate the tragic events of 9/11 with a ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 9 a.m. at Showers Plaza outside City Hall, 401 N. Morton Street.

The event is a solemn recognition of the commitment and sacrifices made by public safety officers in Bloomington and around the nation. Attendees will include State Senator Vi Simpson, Mayor Mark Kruzan, other elected officials and candidates for public office. The ceremony also will include the presentation of the colors and a performance from the Bloomington Metropolitan Firefighters Pipes & Drums.

The ceremony is open to the public.
