City of Bloomington Utilities Department unveils new electronic billing option

Bloomington, I
nd. - Customers of the City of Bloomington Utilities Department can now choose to receive their monthly bills online by utilizing the new electronic billing system, or "eBill."

CBU's eBill option allows customers to view their bills securely online, retrieve previous bills up to 12 months old and access to personalized, water-consumption data that can be used to formulate conservation efforts.

"It's easy to sign up for eBill, and and the system eliminates paper bills, which is good for the environment," said City of Bloomington Utilities Director Patrick Murphy.

To access the eBill system customers visit the City's online billing website, [https://esuite.bloomington.in.gov/esuite.utilities|https://esuite.bloomington.in.gov/esuite.utilities] and enter the account number and name as they appear on the current bill. The system can be accessed at any time, anywhere and at no additional charge.

"We recognize some of our customers will want to continue receiving their monthly bill in the traditional paper form," Murphy said. "However, we're confident that as more customers learn about the advantages the eBill option offers, it will grow in popularity."

Customers are being notified of the new eBill option in an insert included with the December bill for November's usage, which was mailed this week. Customers with questions about the new eBill option are advised to contact the City of Bloomington Utilities Department customer service desk at 349.3930.
