City Boards and Commissions Now Accepting Applications for Vacancies


Bloomington, Ind. - Bloomington City Clerk Regina Moore has announced that applications are now being accepted for anticipated vacancies on the following Boards and Commissions with terms expiring in December or January:

  • Animal Control

  • Bicycle and Pedestrian Commission

  • Bloomington Digital Underground Advisory Committee

  • Bloomington Arts Commission

  • Bloomington Human Rights Commission

  • Board of Zoning Appeals

  • Commission on Aging

  • Commission on Hispanic and Latino Affairs

  • Commission on the Status of Black Males

  • Commission on the Status of Children and Youth

  • Commission on the Status of Women

  • Commission on Sustainability

  • Environmental Commission

  • Historic Preservation Commission

  • Housing Quality Appeals Board

  • Housing Trust Fund Board of Directors

    • Requires representation from one of 4 areas-banking, low income,

not-for-profit housing, social services

  • Redevelopment Commission

  • Telecommunications Commission

  • Traffic Commission

  • Urban Enterprise Association

  • Utilities Service Board

Application review will begin this month and will continue until the positions are filled.

City Boards and Commissions are citizen staffed and operated and serve to advise the Common Council and the City Administration on issues affecting Bloomington.
