City of Bloomington Sponsors Citizenship and Naturalization Class

Bloomington, Ind. ‒ The City of Bloomington joins the IU Maurer School of Law Pro-Bono Immigration Project (PIP) to create Bloomington's 2015 Citizenship and Naturalization Course. Classes will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hooker Conference Room of City Hall, 401 N. Morton St.

The Citizenship and Naturalization Course aims to prepare newcomers and green card holders for the path toward citizenship. The class will cover the fundamentals of U.S. history, basic concepts in American democracy and citizen rights and responsibilities. English language learners are encouraged to register.

The deadline to register for 2015 Citizenship and Naturalization Course is Jan. 30. The registration fee for the class is $25. Those eligible may register in-person in the Community and Family Resources Department at City Hall, 401 N. Morton St., Suite 260.
