Hospital Community Outreach Committee to Host Two Public Input Forums

Bloomington, Ind. - The Community Outreach committee, as appointed by the IU Health Bloomington Hospital Site Reutilization Steering Committee, will host two forums for the public regarding the future of the current IU Health Bloomington Hospital site. The first forum will take place on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 5:30-7 p.m. in Wegmiller Auditorium at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital, 601 W. 2nd St. The second forum will take place on on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 5:30-7 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 401 N. Morton St.

The purpose of these meetings is to gather input from the community about the future of the current hospital site. Barry Lessow, Executive Director of United Way of Monroe County is the team leader of the Community Outreach committee. A representative from IU Health Bloomington will provide a brief update on the hospital project. Members of the public are welcome to attend to make short presentations about what they would like to see happen at the site as well as to bring visuals to demonstrate ideas.
