City of Bloomington Announces Holiday Schedule

Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington administrative offices, City Hall and other facilities will be closed for the Christmas and New Year's holidays on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2016. Various closures or adjustments are noted below.

Animal Care and Control - Closed Dec. 25 and January 1. In case of injured or aggressive animals, please call 812.339.1444.

Parks and Recreation - All facilities will be closed Dec. 25th and Jan. 1st.

• Banneker Community Center will be closed Dec. 23-Jan. 1

• Frank Southern Ice Arena: closed Dec. 24, 25, and 31

  • Holiday Public Skating Dec. 19-23 and 26-30 from 1-7 p.m and Jan. 1 from 12-4 p.m. and Jan. 2-3 from 1-7 p.m.

• Twin Lakes Recreation Center: closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1

  • Open Dec. 24 from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. and Dec. 31 from 7 a.m.-1 p.m.

Bloomington Transit - No service on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1

• Dec. 24 and Dec. 31: all routes will end service early at the same ending times as on a Saturday schedule. BTaccess service will end at 7:30 p.m.

Utilities - Closed Dec. 25th and Jan. 1st. In case of water main break, please call 812.339.1444.

City offices will resume their normal schedule on Monday, Jan. 4.
